Harthill, South Yorkshire The Blue Bell on Woodall Lane, Harthill, occupies the site of the former Blue Bell Inn, which had stood there since at least the 1780s but was demolished in 1923 to make way for the present building. According to H. Garbutt's "History of Harthill" published in 1950 there was an 'Old Bell Club' founded in 1782, which wound up in 1946.
