I never cease to be amazed at the extent to which local councils damage the scenery by supplying the population with numerous garish wheelie bins. It may of course be that it's bin day today and that for the next three weeks the bins will be discreetly hidden somewhere inside the fence, but not every householder takes the trouble to do that. Not a pretty sight for walkers passing by on the Tomintoul Spur of the Speyside Way http://speysideway.co.uk. The wee brown hoosie beside the gate offers goose eggs for sale, but there were none available today.
