Unfortunately it wasn't possible to find a route for the Tomintoul Spur of the Speyside Way http://speysideway.co.uk between Auldich and Cragganmore avoiding the road, so there is a two-mile tramp alongside the B9008, A95 and B9137 at the end of the Spur. At least, as a walker, I noticed something I had previously been unaware of, which is that the birches here conceal the fact that what is named on the map as Bridge of Tommore is actually an embankment about 25 metres above the Burn of Tommore, which runs through a culvert beneath the embankment.
