Grade II listed St Mellons Parish Church, Old St Mellons

Part of the Church in Wales Diocese of Monmouth. Historically in Monmouthshire, Old St Mellons in now part of the City and County of Cardiff. The building dates from c1360 (though some claim there are church records from 1254). A nearby information board states that the church is dedicated to Mellonius (4th century), who was born in Cardiff and became the first bishop of Rouen. However, some dispute this version, and believe that Mellonius has been confused with the similarly-named Saint Melaine.
