In a recreation ground off Harvest Hill. The notice on the post says Beacon Europe with a date 1992, so it pre dates the Millennium Beacons put up a few years later. It also calls it a cresset, (O.E.D. "metal vessel for holding oil, coal etc. for light, mounted on a pole.") which is spot on.
