In Addington Village Conservation Area - see http://www.croydon.gov.uk/environment/conservation/conservation-areas/addington . Established in the 16th century, and reconstructed in 1815, the forge thrived well into the 20th century, making and repairing agricultural equipment. The Addington Forge now houses a long established business run by the Collins family which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Custom made ornamental ironwork of all kinds has been made there since the 1960s.
