Former Greasley Board Schools, Beauvale

This was the local primary school from its founding until 2011 when the school moved to modern premises nearby. Latterly named the Greasley Beauvale D. H. Lawrence Infant School in recognition of the fact that the author received his early education here. It is now occupied partly by an independent Christian School. Like many schools of the period, it is divided into distinct Boys and Girls wings (left and right respectively) with a central admin block. The building is Listed Grade II.
