By the green at the south end of Leonard Stanley stands the parish church of St Swithin. This building has its origins in the priory founded in the 1120s by Sir Roger de Berkeley and has many features of interest from different periods. On the left of the photo is Gipsy Lane, leading on up to the Cotswold Edge, the Cotswold Way and the B4066 Stroud - Dursley road. Such happy times on Cotswold, where I met the one I had waited for. But previous neglect of my own interests and direction led me to let her slip through my fingers and go on to a better life elsewhere. Whoever you are reading this, please do not repeat my mistakes and end up looking back on what might have been. Time photo taken not available. Image Image
