This structure was set up in May 2016. A plaque here states that "this is the bell from the 'Eastern School', which stood on this spot from 1876—1962. 'Welcome Home'". The school stood a few metres away (to the photographer's left), on what is now the site of a tower block, Image The inscription on the bell itself is "John C Wilson & Co., Founders, Glasgow, A.D. 1894".
