Situated in Brushwood Drive WD3 5RR, this primary school was officially opened on Wednesday 1st July 1953 and provides education for children from Reception Class to Year 6 (Ages 4 to 11) a total of about 210 children. The school was named after the Russell family, that being the family name of the Dukes of Bedford who have had a long association with the surrounding area. There is a Bedford Arms Hotel in nearby Chenies village, TQ0198 refers.
