The cafe on the corner of Market Place and Park Street closed in October 2018. The Grade II listed building https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1067184 dates from the turn of the 19th century. There are plans to turn it into a "deli-style cafe bar" https://www.stockport.gov.uk/news/first-look-at-steve-pilling%27s-new-stockport-restaurants
