The ex-offices of Paternoster & Hales in Sun Street Hitchin. They were jobbing printers and publishers of the local 'The Monthly Advertiser' newspaper in the second half of the 19th century. The premises also contained a subscription library and reading rooms, the fee being one guinea per annum.
