From left to right - at 15 Church Plain there is a Grade 2 listed early 17th century house which over time was much restored; 26/27 Church Plain was the home of the Sewell family and Anna Sewell, the author of Black Beauty, was born in the 17th century, Grade 2 listed timber-framed house on 20 March 1820; The adjacent house at 27 Church Plain also Grade 2 listed and dating from the 17th century, but has since been much altered.
