A view from the station footbridge, looking over the coastal plain of Morfa Harlech. Terrain such as this is a railway engineer's dream and has allowed the construction of over four miles of perfectly straight track. Beyond looms Moelwyn Mawr (770 metres) which lies between Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
