The trail leaves the riverside at Weston and heads into Welford Park. It doesn't rejoin the river until Boxford. There is an old railway track all along the valley which with a bit of imagination could have been a nice path. Upstream of Weston, some bits of it are used but from here on down to Newbury that opportunity seems to have been missed.
