The bottom tower, although there is another trestle support on the bridge at the bottom. A loaded bucket is descending. The ropeway carries shale about 2km from the quarry Image to the brickworks, and is gravity powered. The brickworks and ropeway were shutdown for about 4 years (2009-2014) due to lack of demand. However, they are clearly operating at the moment. A second ropeway, SW of this one, was closed in 1990 and the rope was removed.
