Pevsner calls the pair of 'Gothick' lodges at the start of the drive to Gisburn Park (House) 'delightful' and they are Grade-II* listed: https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101362297-pair-of-lodges-at-southern-entrance-to-gisburn-park-with-6-stone-piers-and-linking-railings-and-gates-gisburn#.W6qPMiaWyAg . Pevsner claims 1775 for the building date, while the listed building record says ca. 1800. Pevsner reported statuettes in the niches above the pointed windows, but these have disappeared.
