Princes Square is an upmarket shopping centre leading off Buchanan Street. The buildings originally dates from the 1840s but were developed in 1986 and expanded in 1999. It essentially consists of a pre-existing square surrounded by sandstone buildings now covered with a glass roof creating the space seen here. The design by the Hugh Martin Partnership has won a number of architectural awards and the original fabric is grade B listed.
