This photo shows the grave of David Lloyd George with the entrance behind it. Born in January 1863, he became initially a solicitor, then a Liberal Member of Parliament in 1890. Subsequently, he was Liberal Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922 at the head of a coalition government and gave Ireland Home Rule in 1921. On New Year's Day 1945, he became Earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor, but died of cancer in March 1945 aged 82. An eloquent Welshman, he was nicknamed 'the Welsh wizard'.
