Dated 18?4 (badly eroded stone), this was presumably replaced when the school that used to be down the road opened in 1888. It was certainly mapped as a school earlier, and not so later. Later it was evidently sale rooms - see the 'ghost writing'. The shop now built across the front does not seem to be the sort needing large premises, so what is the rest of the quite large building used for? There is rear access.
