Foundry Yard at the north end of the village of Ridsdale. The former engine house for the Redesdale Ironworks (1836-1864) is at the right of the photograph. Spoil heaps resulting from the works are visible in the middle-distance. The skyline above the village has been dramatically altered since the clear-felling of Fourlaws forest in the summer of 2007.
