St Peter's, built in 1860-61 to designs by the Oxford Diocesan architect G E Street, has one of the most memorable interiors of his small mission churches. The strong leaf capitals at eye level on the piers and notching of the arcade arches add character to the arcade of the north aisle and the use of dressed flint as the filler material throughout alongside red brick and stone is unique in an English church, so far as I know.
