Two Chapels in Pennal

It was once said that that Pennal consisted of three large chapels and about a dozen houses (plus the church, of course). Here are two of the chapels, Carmel, on the left, served the Independents from 1816 and that of the Calvinistic Methodists is on the right, dating from 1869. Neither chapel is now used for services.
