This is a replica windmill with living accommodation that was built on the site of a former six sweep mill that came down in a gale in 1916. Planning permission was granted in 2007 and work began in 2009 with the first two of six sweeps added in July 2012 and the last four in 2015. The mill will be a working one generating electricity its renewable energy use enabling it pass the planning process in the South Downs national park.
