The plaque on the stone reads, "A time capsule was buried beneath this stone on the 5th November 2000. It is suggested that a future generation recovers it in the year 2145 which will be the 250th Anniversary of the East Leake Parish Council. Councillor John Needham, Chairman of East Leake Parish Council. This stone was donated by BPB//British Gypsum.".
