Maze Park is an urban nature reserve situated on land that was formerly part of Tees Marshalling Yard, and prior to that, Newport Yard and engine shed. The sculpture is sited on the highest man-made hill in the park. The industrial skyline of Billingham is in the background, closely linked with the chemical industry.
