A row of 4 almshouses, built for Joseph Yorke of Forthampton Court by none other than the great William Burges, 1863-4. The wellhead to the right is also by Burges. Clearly the inmates of today are more fitness conscious than their Victorian forbears. The Yorke arms are displayed in the two gabled ends, with their family crest as finials. Listed Grade II.
