William Lawrence Bragg (1890-1971) shared the 1915 Nobel Prize for Physics with his father, William Henry Bragg (1862-1942) for their work on X-ray diffraction in crystallography. The son was 25 at the time and remains (2018) the youngest ever physics Laureate; by the time the news reached him he was serving in World War I as an artillery officer.
