Raised road approaching Upton-upon-Severn

The viaduct part of the A4104 approaching Upton-upon-Severn was replaced and raised in 2003 when the old viaduct became structurally weak, at the time there weren't funds to raise the rest of the road where it crosses the Severn floodplain. Earlier this year some more of this road was raised, with work due to be completed later this year, after Upton's festival season. It is only very high floods which inundate this road, it has flooded only about three times in the last fifteen years Image Here is the same bit of road last year Image
