During the construction of the hydro-electric scheme in the late 1940s, Cannich was the main camp, housing around 2000 workers. This hall was built as a canteen and cinema. It is now a large village hall, for the people of Cannich, Struy, Tomich, and the surrounding Strathglass and Glen Affric area. It was refurbished in 2013. The hall is community-owned, run by Strathglass & Affric Community Company. http://cannich-hall.co.uk/
