The present inn is in part of a former coaching inn. The carriage arch survives and can be seen in this view. There is a record of the inn dating back to 1514 but the present building may be later (different sources suggest mid-17th century & early 18th century). It was heavily restored about 1920 following a fire. It was at one time known as The Swan Hotel but currently it seems to be known as both The Swan Inn and The Old Swan Inn. A Grade II listed building. Accommodation is available. Image Image
