A Greene King pub on the corner of Church Road and St Alban's Road. It was built c1897 and designed by Lancashire architect John Dent Harker. In 2011 it was threatened with demolition and replacement with a four-storey retirement apartment block. The plans were turned down and the pub reopened in 2015. Image Image
