These small, pre-fabricated cottages were built in about 1947, immediately next to the Saunders-Roe facility. My Great-grandparents, Victor Percival Mills (1921-1974) and Annie Smith (1921-) lived at number 3, until around 1964 when the houses were demolished and replaced with more substantial housing-estate-style houses. That process can be seen here. Date, photographer location and view direction are approximate.
