One of the rooms in the hall. Perhaps the finest example of a medieval moated manor house in England. The hall is the result of several building campaigns throughout the 15th and 16th centurie. Little has been added since 1600, some 17th and 18th century panelling and some 18th and 19th century windows. Now in the care of the National Trust, the hall is listed, grade I, with much detail at: https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1161988 The site is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument with details at: https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1011879
