A Scotrail multiple unit approaching Dyce at the end of its journey from Inverness. Normally the train would continue on to Aberdeen, but a several week blockade has closed the line between Dyce and Aberdeen for infrastructure work, with the section being restored to double track as part of the Aberdeen Inverness Improvement Project. In the background the little used Raiths Farm freight yard is being put to use during the works, with a train seen being loaded with ballast.
