Beyond this house, which may originally have been associated with the longer building behind it, is a Grade II-listed mid-C19th former Oddfellows' Chapel that is currently being converted into two town houses. Most recently the premises served as an Antiques Centre. Beyond recreational activities, Oddfellow groups promote philanthropy and the ethic of reciprocity and charity, albeit with some lodges implying Judeo-Christian affiliation.
