I don't know what is going on round here. More and more farms are building entrances with automatic gates and imposing piers, field entrances are being repaired and secured, barns replaced or expanded. Farming is spending a lot of money. Maybe they need to improve security, maybe they are getting the estates in order before brexit hits, maybe it is just long overdue and needed doing. But electronic gates and cameras are now very common where once there was nowt but a bit of string between oil drums
