Rock and quarry tip

Image: © Jonathan Wilkins Taken: 7 Jun 2018

Derelict land at the foot of the hillside shows field walls, but bracken has taken over completely, except where it cannot grow on ice-smoothed rock outcrop or the quarry tips. The name of the undertaking cannot be easily discerned, part of the problem being that a large number of ancient and unsuccessful ventures were located here. This tip has been extensively worked over recently for unknown reasons.
