The building under construction is a Travelodge hotel, which is part of a development called Elwick Place. Planning permission was granted by Ashford Borough Council under application number 15/01195/AS for “mixed use development comprising of restaurants and cafes (Class A3), a hotel (Class C1), leisure and assembly, including a cinema (Class D2), a car park, associated highway works, vehicle access, infrastructure, plant, car and cycle parking and landscaping (Phase 1).
