The bus is just negotiating the wicked bend that follows the railway bridge under the Brighton line. Only the most senior and experienced drivers are allocated to this route, which is even worse in the other direction. However, many young car drivers drive madly through the bridge. There is no proper path for pedestrians under the bridge, just a line painted on the road. In addition, pigeons nest under the bridge and as a result the road underneath is polluted with pigeon droppings, broken eggs, feathers, and sometimes dead birds. In short, the bridge is a disgraceful safety hazard. But nothing, of course, will be done until there is a fatality here.
