The South Devon Railway is famous for travelling along the coast for much of its route. Being built on the sea wall, the line has often been disrupted by storm damage due to its proximity to the sea. Here, ex-British Rail Class 150 (“Sprinter”) DMU number 150247 is seen passing the red sandstone cliff between Langstone Point and Dawlish. The long-distance South West Coast Path also follows the sea wall, next to the track.
