Bedale signal box

Unlike many others on this line, the original signal box at Bedale, dating from c.1860, has survived, largely due to being grade 2 listed (list entry 1252652) in 1993, around the time that British Rail stopped using the line, but ten years before the Wensleydale Railway resumed services. A good example of how heritage listing has enabled re-use.
