Monument erected by tenants and friends of Roger Barnston who died from wounds received at the relief of Lucknow in 1857 during the Indian Mutiny campaign, whilst serving as a Major and Brevet Lieutenant Colonel with "Her Majesty's 30th. Light Infantry"
