Located on the corner of Crofters Court and The Crofts. The brewery is owned by Refresh UK, since 2009 a subsidiary of Marston's. It is named after the Wychwood Forest and its most well known product (of a wide range) is Hobgoblin, a brown ale. The brewery is at the old Eagle Maltings, built in 1841 to malt barley for Clinch's Brewery, which was closed by Courage when they bought it in 1961. The origins of Hobgoblin date to 1983 and following changes of ownership, name and location over the years it was bought by Refresh UK in 2002. The brewery also brews the Brakspear beers using a separate fermenting room and some equipment brought from the former and now closed brewery at Henley. Image Image
