Several footpaths in the area have notification of closure owing to the massive housing developments being undertaken on the east side of Corby. Some of the footpaths were not in fact closed, although might as well have been: in keeping with other parts of Northamptonshire they are often badly overgrown, and poorly signed. And, ironically, the rare footpath sign here is seen to point straight ahead, and has clearly not been updated since the 'straight ahead' section of the footpath was closed some time ago, and diverted to the right to go around the high security Horizon Centre visible in the distance.
