The various small artefacts including the model of a human brain are a site-specific artwork consisting of 20 pieces of sculpture and 22 lights, by the internationally-renowned artists Anne and Patrick Poirier. They were commissioned in 2005, officially opened in 2007, and were placed here as a homage to Thomas Browne, whose statue > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5839736 can be seen in the background.
