A single car class 153 unit waits to cross at Llanwrtyd Wells en-route to Swansea. By this time the Wales and Borders franchise was being operated by Arriva, the franchise having been commenced in December 2003. A variety of liveries could still be seen in the area until standardisation was complete. This one, I believe, still retained the earlier Wales & Borders style.
