Railways from the south and north met at Monmouth and both crossed the River Wye on separate bridges. The bridge carrying the line from Ross-on-Wye survives and carries a path. The long approach viaduct of the other remains but the section over the river has been dismantled. This is the view looking north from the Wye Valley Walk.
