Besides the 50 hare sculptures on display in the city of Norwich (city hares), 18 hares of a different design can be seen in towns all across Norfolk (county hares). The county hares have a different design and are called 'moongazers' because they look upwards. The hare depicted here can be seen at the Start-Rite shoe factory in Memorial Way, Thorpe St Andrew, and is sponsored by Start-Rite. It was painted by Ryan Newell.
