The Shire Hall houses Worcester's Crown and County Court, the building was built in 1834-35 in a Greek Revival style and designed by the architects, Henry Rowe and Charles Day. To the left is a statue of Queen Victoria which was erected to mark her Golden Jubilee in 1887. Image] Pevsner, describes the building as follows: 'This is an impeccable Grecian design, in the Smirke taste, of fine ashlar stone.'
